- Look for a professional powerwashing company that uses soap, preferably a bleach based soap. Bleach isn’t your enemy, many people think bleach is very bad for you and the environment. Bleach is actually used in small amounts in plant food to preserve cut flowers, it is used to purify water supplies for the public etc… Bleach or Sodium Hypochlorite, as a true professional would call it, is one of the most effective chemicals for removing mold from vinyl siding.
- Look for a company that charges more, not less! This may seem counter intuitive but the saying you get what you pay for is very true. You cannot run a professional, insured, legal, powerwashing company while washing houses for $99. It is not possible.
- Look for a company that has a website and a track record in the community. There are plenty of places to search online and find companies that have reviews and pictures of their work. This way you can weigh out what you see for what you get.
