An exciting and growing fad among window cleaning companies is dressing like superheros to clean windows at local children’s hospitals. This is just one of the ways that companies are able to give back to the community and bring happiness to children in need. The trend has reached its way across into just about every state from Alabama to Pittsburgh to Minneapolis Minnesota. The superhero window cleaners rappel down the sides of the building with their squeegees and other window cleaning tools in hand. The window cleaners are supported by a Bosun’s chair and MIO roof rig that supports them at the top of the roof with counter weights and an additional life line for safety. Unfortunately in NYC, over eight stories, any would be superhero window cleaner would only be allowed to do so from a suspended scaffold and not from a direct line. Being on a scaffold would take away the affect rappelling would bring because the window cleaner would be walking on a platform.
